Questions before you start
Do I need a designer?
You are welcome to work with your own designer, plan the space yourself or use my experience to help develop your ideas. I can help you think through layouts, materials and practical details for a bathroom, kitchen or wider home refurbishment.
Can we change the layout?
Usually, yes, provided the space and existing structure allow it and the new layout is practical to use. Drainage, pipe routes, electrics and the room’s dimensions all influence what is possible. I assess these before explaining the options and agreeing the design.
Can I live at home while the work is being done?
Often, yes. Many clients stay at home during bathroom or kitchen work and smaller repairs. Some larger refurbishments can also be completed in stages while you remain in the property. It depends on the scope, safe access and whether essential facilities can remain available. We discuss the likely disruption before agreeing the plan.
How do payments work?
Your quotation sets out the payment stages for your project. For example, a renovation may be split into 30% before work starts, 30% partway through and the remaining 40% on completion. The final balance also accounts for any outstanding agreed material costs and approved extra work. The schedule and what each payment covers are confirmed in your quotation.
Can I add extra work once the project has started?
Sometimes, depending on the work and availability. I plan one project at a time and book other clients in advance, so it helps to agree the full scope before reserving dates. If you would like to add something, we discuss the cost and any effect on the schedule before agreeing whether it can be included.
How much will my project cost?
Every home is assessed before a figure is discussed. Arrange a free visit for a quote based on your room and agreed scope.
Can I send photographs first?
Yes. Send your photographs on WhatsApp and describe what you would like to change.
Do you take one project at a time?
Yes. A home is finished before the next one starts. Contact Cozy Interior to discuss availability.
