House Refurbishment & Bespoke Cabinetry in Charlton

A full refurbishment of an Edwardian terraced house in Charlton, followed by bespoke cabinetry for the same returning client.

The finished cabinetry combines laundry storage, boiler housing and hanging space with painted living-room cupboards and open shelves.

I first completed the full house refurbishment, then returned to create the laundry cabinets and living-room joinery. The photographs follow the home from its original condition through the work and into the finished cabinetry.

The photographs show the scale of the refurbishment: stripped rooms and exposed floorboards, wall insulation and boarding, pipework beneath the floor, bathroom preparation, kitchen fitting and decoration around the hall and stairs.

Building the bespoke cabinetry

The later joinery work brought fitted storage to the living room and concealed the laundry appliances and household services behind coordinated cabinet doors.

Painted base cupboards and open shelves sit on either side of the fireplace and television, combining concealed storage below with space for books and display above. The panelled cupboard doors complement the terraced home’s existing fireplace and decorative ceiling details.
