Chris have contacted us by the recommendation of one our previous client. To see if we could help him to solve a problematic bathroom which has been already renovated couple of years ago and already has started to fall apart. It’s extremely tiny bathroom, but used as a shared space between quite a few individuals, so it must be well built.
When we attended to the site we have noticed a massive water damage to a studwork, walls and everything else that was in the room. As there was a very little space in the room which is about two square metre of floor space to accommodate the basin, shower, towel rail and a toilet - we came up with the solution to make it open space, barrier free wetroom even dough it was the most expensive option.
Bathroom had a multiple leaks starting from the shower thermostat, toilet, basin and ending with leaking pipes bellow the concrete flooring which has been discovered during the deeper investigation. Also the leak have damaged the studwork and the walls which had to be replaced. We have redone all the plumbing, laid a new solid concrete flooring, reframed and plaster boarded the room.
Further along we have installed Grohe concealed cistern and boxed it in. Following we have waterproofed all the bathroom area and made it water tight all around. We have tiled the room installed all the plumbing accessories including: thermostat, shower head set, wall mounted toilet and the basin. Lastly we have painted the ceiling and the door in order to achieve clean finish.

The bathroom renovation project turned out to be a bigger job than initially planned due to the poor foundations and rotten timbers, but at every step, Gin would check in with me to ensure I was aware. Overall I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. Converting the bathroom to a wet room was a challenging task, given the space Gin had to work within, but the finish was perfect. The Quality of material and attention to detail adds to a sublime finish. I will 100% be using him again.
